![]() Image-Line know this, but it won't be changing any time soon. On a Hi-Res you can hardly even find the plugin itself let alone a parameter. I don't use it very much these days coz you need perfect 20/20 eyesight and a low resolution monitor for it to be bigger. You can go to town on all the wubba wubba wob wob wob you want. ![]() It's not exactly cloning the 303, but it does something fat and warm and analogue(ish).Īlso the built in LFO stuff is great especially when coupled with the automation of it within FLS. ![]() Just check the first few stock presets based on the 303. Image-Line over 10,000 patches to load up.īut Sytrus can be one of the fattest and most raspy analogue synths going. There ya go Image Line Sytrus - Yamaha DX7 Presets - 13896 Presets (492 (Topic) I may be wrong about that and I'm sure some one will correct me if I am. I think it is touted as being sysex compatible for reading DX-7 patches. So I guess I'm being like this little guy's bodyguard-sized cheerleader LOL! I mean, you can find stuff on FM8 to your heart's content, but there's comparative little concerning Sytrus. The only thing that would keep my from recommending it fully over FM8 to the newbie is the relative lack of online video tutorials. I guess it's like I said, Sytrus is the littlest stick of dynamite that, when ignited, becomes a nuclear explosion! I'm a fairly regular reader of Computer Music magazine, and when I saw that the latest issue featured a special on FM synthesis, I was psyched to see the killer Tone2 Nemesis was going to be featured.but equally mystified by what's apparently little to no mention of Sytrus. I like FM8 but the interface hurts my soul.As you can imagine, I completely agree with both of you! I never liked FM8's interface much, but I must admit that the sounds from that synth are still incredible, and of course there are plenty of rewards to be had by digging deeper into FM8. You can treat it like a VA and get great sound or you can dive down the deep deep deep hole (with a really decent interface!) Draw your own harmonics, wave shape, ring modulate, FM ETC ETC
